There is a tendency among many people who have a little bit of knowledge about a little bit of technical stuff to think they can buy some smart plugs and Echo Dots or Google Nests and put together a smart home system themselves. Maybe for one or two simple features like turning on or off a couple of lamps or changing a thermostat with Alexa it will work fine. But what about getting everything else to integrate with the rest of the house?
It’s having the alarm system, the cable, the coffee maker, the lighting, door locks, garage door, the temperature all work together as an efficient unit is what a smart home is all about. And it’s a rare DIY-er who can make that happen.
You want a smart home so you can get all your technology working together. But when a DYIer gets into it, instead of making things easy, new problems are often created. What remote do you use for this? What code for that? Which app will work for all? The WiFi is not 2.4GHz, what do we do? An automated home is much more complicated than a couple of remote controls and apps. It takes the experience and technical skills of installers who have been in the field and have seen hundreds of scenarios to know what fits each family or business, their lifestyle, budget and take into account the wiring and structure of their environment.
We also have the imagination to share some ideas that will bring exciting new technologies to your home or office you might never have thought of to make your space safer, easier to manage, prettier or more fun!
Let HT-Install’s experts integrate the right devices for you and orchestrate them to work together in perfect harmony.
